360 and VR have made a long known audio format acceptable again, binaural audio. Behind it is no less than spatial, natural hearing with commercially available headphones. Since well over 85% of people listen to their music with headphones, it would be a pretty cool feature to free music from the'1D stereo headphone prison' and create enveloping 3D / immersive music experiences, that everyone can experience immediately and without extra hardware! The workshop uses current binaural productions such as Kraftwerk and Booka Shade to show how impressive this sounds and how such mixes are produced with normal DAWs, plug-ins and applications such as the Spatial Audio Designer.
